With all the detail that goes into making the M Resort a wonderful experience, it’s no surprise that their buffet, Studio B, is a delight to all the senses.

Upon entering, you’re greeted with a fairly open dining room of tables surrounding the buffet itself, which smoothly curves in and out. If you prefer booths to tables, those can be found along the far edges of the room. Complementing the food are cooking demonstrations broadcast on massive video monitors high above the buffet line. Off to the side (and closest to the entrance, as if acting as a preview of what’s to come) is the dessert line and espresso bar.

Studio B offers more than 200 items as well as a selection of beer and wine. You can start your meal off with some of Studio B’s freshly prepared salads or a full selection of soups, complete with a condiment bar for those who like some croutons, cheese and other accompaniments.

There’s a great variety at this buffet, with most of the food grouped along the style of cuisine. There’s a good mix of typical and atypical for each style, which includes barbecue, a variety of Asian selections, Mexican, Italian, seafood and some more assorted dishes.

The center of the buffet juts out a bit to make room for the multiple carving stations, where chefs serve up mouthwatering servings of roast beef, turkey, ham and prime rib, with sauces nearby, along with the appropriate side dishes.

A varied dessert bar includes flan, gelato, macaroons, éclairs, a sugar-free selection and more. The espresso bar serves up your favorite coffee drinks, including those mixed with Irish cream, Sambuca and a few other liqueurs.

Another one of this buffet’s much lauded features is the all-you-can-drink aspect. They’ve got root beer, cider, Pabst Blue Ribbon and Warsteiner on tap in the buffet line, in addition the usual soft drink selections you can order from your table.

Seafood lovers would do well to visit Friday through Sunday, when M unleashes lobster, crab legs, fish, sushi and more. Don’t fret, though, because there’s a decent selection — including sushi and a few seafood dishes — during the rest of the week.

The buffet gets its name from the state-of-the-art cooking studio, where many of the cooking demonstrations shown on the giant screens are filmed. It’s actually pretty fun being able to chow down while watching some of the same ingredients you’re dining on being used on-screen. You can’t go wrong with dinner and a show.

If you’re looking for good variety, fresh food and plenty of drinks, Studio B is an excellent choice.
